|
|
There have been a few comments made on various threads about Hargy. I too believe that he has given "everything" for our club over the years, and this shows week in and week out on the field towards the umpires. (I am not going to touch this subject at this time). The purpose of this post is to say that he is due for an absolute blinder against the gays this week. If Rywsyck, Banger, Wintle and co can put the ball onto his chest, he will kick an absolute bag this week. He seems as if he is raring to go....given the opportunity by the midfield. As Nordberg posted in another thread, it is the delivery that is lacking into the forward line, thus making our forward inoperable. Put it on his chest this week and he will kick 7. Looking forward to a great day at the Bay and looking forward to Hargy dominating the forward line once again. _________________ It's time for the guys to stand up and play hard, tough football for the FULL four quarters |

Hope you are right Burfo, I think he still has what it takes to kick a bag on a regular basis, what he needs to do is concentrate a little harder and not get carried away with the little mice in white. Give him a bit more space to move around, some decent delivery and I have no doubt he will deliever the goods for us. If Hargs is getting the ball and the score on the board we are more than half way to a victory _________________ Ability is what you're capable of

| Hargy struggles to mark overheard these days so why continually kick it there? Hit him lace out on the chest and he will be far more effective. He is also a confidence player, so if we deliver it well early and he kicks early goals, he will dominate. |

I have seen him take more over head marks this year than he has most other years. Would not underestimate him over head, but definately agree that he is a better leading and marking forward when the ball is delivered out front to him....lets face it - who isnt! _________________ It's time for the guys to stand up and play hard, tough football for the FULL four quarters |

Crikey, he's been out half of the year injured and he's taken more marks overhead in those half games than he has most other years?
I must be going to different games than you Burfo.
Just taking into account last year for eg, he took 70 marks, I'd say 40 - 50 of them would have been overhead, you're telling me he's taken at least 80 overhead marks this year.
(and that's being generous as he's had much better years than last year). |

Read the other posts to work it out champ, but seriously, am I wrong?
Surely I've seen Hargy take more marks overhead than this year when he's spent a lot of it on the sideline?
Is that a fair comment or not?
Not splitting hairs, I'm splitting asteroids its that obvious. |

Being positive is what makes us turn up to the Bay after going to Woodville last week. As for the (e)moticons, well i have never had e's before and do not wish to try them now. _________________ It's time for the guys to stand up and play hard, tough football for the FULL four quarters |

I'm rocking up because I'm positive the beer's going to run out and I'll make another killing with a 3/4 time trip to the Holdy!
